2014 Dodge Durango Facelift with 8-Speed Auto Pegged for Production in May

Not that we weren't expecting Dodge to update the Durango SUV after Jeep displayed the facelifted Grand Cherokee at the Detroit Auto Show this year, but Mopar-enthusiast site Allpar says it has the inside scoop.

Citing inside sources, the site said it has been told that the 2014 model year Dodge Durango will enter production in May this year, with first deliveries expected to start in late June. What this means is that we will likely see the facelifted Durango making its world premiere at the New York Auto Show at the end of March.

It’s going to be a while before the 2014 Chevrolet Impala sedan hits showrooms in North America, close to a year to be exact, so General Motors will no doubt try to find various ways to keep consumer interest high in the coming months.

For now, the Detroit automaker has prepared a short video with Jon Hahn, Impala Marketing Manager, and Russ Clark, Marketing Director for Chevrolet Performance and Mid-Size Vehicles, highlighting certain aspects of the exterior design and the interior technology found on the 10th generation Impala, as well as a second clip with the Impala's exterior and interior designers.

Chevrolet Colorado Could Get New Name for US Market

Chevrolet-Colorado

The newest generation Chevy Colorado was unveiled at the Bangkok Motor Show last year, and will make its American debut in 2014, quite possibly with a new name to coincide with the new design.

Speaking at the New York Auto Show, GM North American President Mark Reuss said that the new mid-size truck, which may not be called Colorado, will debut after the unveiling of GM’s redesigned half-ton pickups. Although he didn’t hint at a new name, rumors are floating around that the LUV badge will be revived for the mid-size pickup which makes sense.

The Chevy LUV was a small Isuzu designed pickup truck which Chevrolet offered in North America during the 1970′s. LUV is an acronym for light utility vehicle, which would suit the design of the new Colorado well.

First Photos of Infiniti's LE Pure-Electric Concept

Infiniti-LE-Study-1

The first images of Infiniti's LE Concept have made their appearance online, shortly after Nissan and Infiniti CEO Carlos Ghosn gave journalists a sneak peak of the electric-powered model at the brand's New York Auto Show stand.

Infiniti had revealed its intentions to launch a pure electric family car at the 2010 Paris Motor Show having released a second teaser image on the sidelines of last year's Frankfurt Motor Show.

The LE Concept previews the production model that will follow within the next two years. We don't have any information on the four door sedan's mechanical hardware, but it likely that it shares many parts with the Nissan Leaf.

The car's exterior design is in line with Infiniti's recent concept studies such as the Emerg-E supercar shown in Geneva last month.

2013 SRT Viper GTS-R Revealed, Set to Run in American Le Mans

2013-SRT-Viper-GTS-R-Revealed-01

The all new SRT Viper was revealed today at the 2012 New York Auto Show, along with an announcement from Chrysler that a race focused GTS-R will be returning to the American Le Mans racing series in 2012.

The GTS-R will be a non-street legal Viper, and will be backed by an SRT factory team in the Le Mans series. “Racing has been a significant part of the illustrious history of Viper not only with wins on the track, but also in the continued development of the street cars – and our new 2013 SRT Viper models are proof of those lessons learned,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of SRT.

Two identical Viper GTS-Rs will compete in the production-based GT class, and four drivers have already been confirmed for the SRT factory team.

Even the organizers of the American Le Mans series are excited for the return of Viper to high stakes racing.  “I don’t think it’s possible to overstate the significance of the SRT Viper returning to the top level of professional sports car racing,” said Scott Atherton, President and CEO of the American Le Mans Series. “The Chrysler Group has a long, storied and very successful history of competing with the American Le Mans Series. The fact that they’re coming back concurrently with the introduction of the new production car and doing it simultaneously, we would be hard-pressed to come up with a better-case scenario. What a great way for SRT Viper to come back to racing.”

The Vipers race history will be carried on by the new SRT Viper GTS-R, and as they say, win on Sunday, sell on Monday. This will no doubt be the hopes of Chrylser for the all new Viper.

New York: Land Rover Defender

Ferrari-V12

The latest version of the Land Rover DC100 concept has been unveiled ahead of its debut at tomorrow's New York Auto Show.

The Land Rover DC100 Expedition is the most rugged interpretation of the concept that previews the next-generation Defender yet.

Land Rover boss John Edwards has previously said he wants to show off the traditional Defender "abusability" on the new DC100, and the New York show car would appear to be in response to that.

The Expedition sports a new White and orange paint job, and rugged features including a winch, snorkel, a roof rack, bull bar, more pronounced towing eyes, greater amounts of black trim and beefier 275/55 Cooper tyres with five-spoke black alloys.

It follows several different versions of the DC100 concept since the Frankfurt motor show last September. As well as Frankfurt, versions have appeared in Dubai, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Delhi and now New York as Land Rover gathers live feedback into how it should evolve the next-generation Defender, due in 2015.

2013 Buick Enclave Heads to New York Auto Show with a Fresh Face and Updated Interior

2013-Buick-Enclave

Even though 2011 proved to be the best sales year ever for the Buick Enclave crossover since its introduction in May of 2007 with more than 58,000 deliveries, GM wants to keep the momentum going with the presentation of a facelifted model at the New York Auto Show.

Scheduled to reach U.S. showrooms this fall, the 2013 Enclave benefits from several updates including restyled exterior and interior, a refined suspension and the addition of new technologies.

The exterior makeover consists of a new fascia with restyled headlamps, bumper and hood, a more prominent black chrome waterfall grille and LED daytime running lights. At back, we find new LED tail lamps with chrome accents and a redesigned bumper with integrated exhaust tips.
