Lamborghini Aventador vs New SRT Viper vs Lexus LFA

Three very different schools of automotive thought came together at a Cars and Coffee meeting in Irvine, California, a couple of weeks ago, for a mechanical symphony comprised of 32 cylinders, 19.7-liters and a whopping 1,884-horses.

Thankfully, the revving competition between the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, 2013 SRT Viper and the Lexus LFA was captured on film by several visitors for our enjoyment.

We'll remind you that the Aventador is powered by a mid-mounted 6.4-liter V12 pushing out 691-horses (700PS) at 8,250rpm and 507 lb-ft (690Nm) at 5,500rpm.

Japan's entry, the Lexus LFA, is fitted with a screaming 4.8-liter V10 that generates 553hp (560PS) at 8,700rpm and 354 lb-ft (479Nm) at 6,800rpm.

Finally, America's new SRT Viper has a front-mounted 8.4-liter V10 cranking out 640hp (649PS) at 6,200rpm and 600 lb-ft (814Nm) at 5,000rpm.
