Koenigsegg Boss Walks us Through the Agera R Supercar's Painting Process

One of the good things about small-volume supercar manufacturers like Pagani or Koenigsegg is that, unlike bigger companies, you can get their bosses themselves to walk you through their cars.

Understandably, Luca di Montezemolo is too busy running the business to explain himself the details of the clear coat on the F12berlinetta. Horacio Pagani or Christian von Koenigsegg, on the other hand, can spare the time since their production is just a small fraction of that of Ferrari or Lamborghini.

In the video from Drive that follows, the founder and CEO of Koenigsegg shows us the painting process of the carbon fiber the Bugatti Veyron-beating 1,144HP Swedish missile known as the Agera R.

As von Koenigsegg points out, paint is a very significant aspect of the car, so they make sure that it’s not only gleaming perfect when it leaves the factory, but that it stays so in the future. Wouldn't you'd be as demanding if you were paying a million dollars for a hypercar?
